FCA Partners with Operation Mobilization (OM) SportsLink

Expanding SportsLink’s Game Plan

logo-sportslinkFCA and OM SportsLink developed a partnership in 2007 in order to better serve sports leaders around the world. Since then, several sports ministry programs and strategies have taken off across the globe, impacting thousands. The partnership focuses on training sports leaders while resourcing them with the needed materials to reach coaches and athletes in their communicates.

FCA reaches over 2 million athletes and coaches each year, running over 375 camps with 55,000 campers in attendance and nearly 10,000 small groups in schools and universities. As OM is established in over 110 countries and has 6,100 staff, FCA is expanding its impact outside the U.S. by linking with OM. It is a dynamic partnership to expand the Kingdom of God through sports.

Dan Britton, FCA’s International Executive Vice President, says, “FCA considers itself to be an arm of the church, which fits into OM’s core strategy. We want to minister to the heart of the athlete and coach, tying Bible truth to Biblical coaching and competition. We also want to train people with a passion for sports ministry to transform communities.”

OM SportsLink’s Director, Silas Mullis is convinced this cooperation will continue to have a major impact. “Raising up and equipping new coaches continues to prove to be one of the most practical strategies in reaching young people around the world.  Through discipleship young people are uniting their passion for sports with their passion for Christ and transformation on the field is bringing about transformation in their communities.  A new generation of athletes and coaches are now being sent out to reach the unreached of the world.”
